Jason Venema - Turf Manager Cambridge
Jason is one of our most experienced Turf managers with twelve years of industry experience mainly within international and first class sporting venues. He returned to NZ in November 2020 after a 2 year stint at Stadion Galgenwaard/Sportspark Zoudenbalch as Head Groundman. Stadion Galgenwaard is home to Dutch Premier League club FC Utrecht, Sportspark Zoudenbalch is the training complex nearby which has 3 grass training fields and one grass match field. Managing these two venues came with a number of challenges but Jason nailed it and was quickly appointed head groundsman.Prior to this, Jason was at Eden Park Stadium, Auckland as a Turf Assistant and Auckland Cricket Grounds Officer. He has also spent 5 years at Westpac Stadium and Basin Reserve, Wellington as a Turf Assistant. So when Jason's name cropped up naturally leapt at the chance to have him work with us.
He is a hands-on, hardworking and very keen on planning and problem solving on our clients lawns.
Outside of work Jason likes to play and coach football, cricket and plays golf occasionally. He also enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking and the outdoors in general. When he can find spare time he also likes to build things with his hands such as furniture.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COURSES:

- NZ Sports Turf Institute Training Organisation, Auckland NZ - Apprenticeship in Turf Management
- Natcol Design Technology, Wellington NZ - Diploma in Computer Graphic Design
